A singular integral equation arising in a cruciform crack problem is investigated in the present paper. Based on the convex technique, the piecewise Taylor-series expansion method is extended by introducing a weight parameter. An approximate solution of the singular integral equation is constructed and its convergence and error estimate are made. The variations of the approximate solutions associating with stress intensity factors are analyzed by considering internal pressures of power and sine functions, respectively. By comparing with the known methods, the observations reveal that a good approximation can be achieved using less derivative times, less discretization points, and a suitable weight parameter. The obtained results show that the crack growth is dependent on applied mechanical loadings.  相似文献

The aim of this article is to exhibit the variety of different Ricci soliton structures that a nilpotent Lie group can support when one allows for the metric tensor to be Lorentzian. In stark contrast to the Riemannian case, we show that a nilpotent Lie group can support a number of non‐isometric Lorentzian Ricci soliton structures with decidedly different qualitative behaviors and that Lorentzian Ricci solitons need not be algebraic Ricci solitons. The analysis is carried out by classifying all left invariant Lorentzian metrics on the connected, simply‐connected five‐dimensional Lie group having a Lie algebra with basis vectors and and non‐trivial bracket relations and , investigating the various curvature properties of the resulting families of metrics, and classifying all Lorentzian Ricci soliton structures.  相似文献

The volume of the unit ball of the Lebesgue sequence space is very well known since the times of Dirichlet. We calculate the volume of the unit ball of the mixed norm , whose special cases are nowadays popular in machine learning under the name of group Lasso. We give two proofs of the main results, one in the spirit of Dirichlet, the other one using polarization identities. The result is given by a closed formula involving the gamma function, only slightly more complicated than the one of Dirichlet. We consider the real as well as the complex case. We also consider the anisotropic unit balls. We close by an overview of open problems.  相似文献

In this sequel to the article 17 , a criterion for the regularity of fundamental solutions of differential operators with positive symbol is proved in analogy to Hörmander's criteria, see 9 , 12 . It implies that the temperate fundamental solution of the operator is not regular. Furthermore, a formula for the convolution of two ‐invariant distributions is presented, and, finally, L. Schwartz' question on the surjectivity of linear partial differential operators with constant coefficients on the space is completely answered in the case of ‐invariant differential operators.  相似文献

In this paper, we use the powerful tool Milnor bases to determine all the locally symmetric left invariant Riemannian metrics up to automorphism, on 3‐dimensional connected and simply connected Lie groups, by solving system of polynomial equations of constants structure of each Lie algebra . Moreover, we show that E 0(2) is the only 3‐dimensional Lie group with locally symmetric left invariant Riemannian metrics which are not symmetric.  相似文献

Let X be a measurable space, let be a family of measurable subsets of it, and let be a subspace of complex measures on X that is also closed under restrictions of measures. In this paper we introduce the ‐convergence topology and the ‐strict topology on . Among other results, we find necessary and sufficient conditions for Hausdorff‐ness and coincide‐ness of these topologies.
